DACA API Status Check: Read I-821D and I-765 Separately
For a DACA case-data check, review Form I-821D and Form I-765 under their own receipts and notices. If an authorized account export is available, analyze each case separately. Movement or approval on one record should not be substituted for the other record’s decision.

Official case-status verification for a receipt; not a specification of account JSON or event codes.

Why do I need to distinguish I-821D from I-765?
I-821D concerns consideration of deferred action for childhood arrivals; I-765 concerns employment authorization. The USCIS I-765 information page describes a specific relationship for category (c)(33) filed with I-821D. Consult that source for the current instructions.
An event or status for one receipt is evidence about that record. Do not infer that another form is approved from a related-case summary or card-production event.
How do I check DACA data in my account?
- Sign in on the official myUSCIS website.
- Identify which receipt belongs to I-821D and which belongs to I-765.
- If available, obtain Case data and optional Status & office for one receipt.
- Analyze that case in the free reader and check any recognized fields against its official notices.
- Clear the input before importing the other receipt; do not combine separate applications into one export.
Does every DACA case support these links?
No universal availability is promised. Our account link builder accepts IOE receipts, but a valid-looking receipt does not guarantee an accessible response. Account association, session state and changing endpoint behavior can affect access.
A null response is not a negative case outcome. If account JSON is unavailable, continue with the normal official account interface and status tools.
Does API movement mean a DACA approval?
An updated record timestamp does not establish a decision or prove that an officer has begun a particular task. Check the actual official status and decision notice for the specific form.
This reader retains recognized document categories and dates, not the PDF contents. It cannot certify what an unexamined notice says or discover a “silent approval” from metadata alone.
How do I interpret biometrics or card events?
A generic appointment is not automatically biometrics, and a fingerprint record does not establish background-check results. A card-production event is different from mailing or delivery. Read the official notice for the record concerned.
This guide covers record reading. Current eligibility, filing rules and renewal instructions belong to the official DACA and form resources, which may change.
What does the optional report add?
For each supplied case version, the report explains supported codes, cross-checks retained fields and compares an earlier export when provided. It does not automatically fetch both applications, monitor DACA cases or predict renewal decisions.
